Now considered a reference in artisanal ice cream in French-speaking Switzerland, Manu Gelato was born above all from a passion.
That of Emanuele Zanchi, who discovered the world of ice cream at a very young age during the summers spent by the sea in his native Italy. Simple but deeply striking memories, which will give birth years later to a real life project: to transmit through the ice an emotion, a memory and a moment of happiness.
After several years in finance between Italy and abroad, Emanuele decided to leave everything behind to devote himself entirely to this world that has fascinated him since childhood. For many months, he travels, studies, meets craftsmen and producers in order to perfect his know-how and develop his own recipes.
The Manu Gelato adventure began in 2011 with the opening of the first boutique at Rue de Carouge 65 in Geneva.
Given the success of the concept, several new locations were quickly opened in French-speaking Switzerland.
In 2018, Andrea Guglielmone Pasquini joined the project to support the development and structuring of the brand.
After studying economics and a first entrepreneurial experience in the world of children's fashion, Andrea brings to Manu Gelato a vision oriented towards development, brand image and growth of the network.
In 2020, Andrea and Emanuele became partners and launched the development of the franchise network with a first opening in Lausanne.
