Hägendorf is located at an altitude of 434 m above sea level, 5 km west-southwest of the district capital Olten. The village stretches out in the plain at the foot of the southern Jura, at the exit of the Cholersbach gorge from the Teufelsschlucht into the Dünnern valley, in the so-called Berggäu.
