Guntershausen bei Berg is a hamlet in the municipality of Berg. The lovely landscape is characterized by fruit growing and meadowland. The proximity to the towns of Berg and Weinfelden provides the necessary extensive infrastructure.
The former mill is now privately inhabited, and the former farm building currently gives horses a home. It holds a lot of potential that calls for implementation. Several residential units could be built here in a well-kept environment. A study with a rough cost estimate was prepared for this purpose. Horses or other animals would also get a beautiful place.
The unusually stately farm building under a hipped roof has two centrally located stables, each flanked by a threshing floor. On the façade side (west), the building is accessed by a large basket-arched portal. To the south (front) is a monopitch roof extension, which is now used as a garage (not protected).
Dense and symmetrical half-timbering with cross and diamond shapes can be seen on the upper floor above the tenn gates and windows. Above the middle is a hipped dormer, which corresponds to a threshing floor entrance at the level of the attic at the back (east side). Development would be possible here to form the residential side on the façade side (west).
A parcelling out of the previous, large plot is planned. The barn is located in the village zone, it is a listed building.
I would be happy to explain further details of this offer to you.
