In den letzten Jahren, mit der Schaffung von Quellen für die Gemeinden Barbengo und Morcote, wurde es von dem Bach gespeist, der an der Grenze der Grundstücke fliesst.
Das Gebäude ist solide und durch ein neues, etwa 20 Jahre altes Dach gut geschützt. Im Innern befinden sich zwei Mühlsteine, die entweder einzeln oder gemeinsam arbeiteten.
