Real estate: living in Emmen

What was once just a village between the alpine peaks has become a city in perpetual evolution that blends traditions and new cultures. With a large industrial sector on the one hand and more than thirty farms around in a green environment, Emmen is both very urban and rural, which appeals to a population that works in Lucerne, even in Zurich, and who are quest for a little tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. Emmen obviously benefits from the attractiveness of Lucerne, one of the most visited towns in Switzerland between the blue waters of Lake Lucerne and the high snow-capped peaks of the Alps. Emmen has grown very quickly in recent years, to the point of becoming the largest city in central Switzerland. The municipality is preparing for a significant increase in its population by 2030. The real estate sector is therefore particularly dynamic. New neighborhoods are multiplying to meet demand. Very diverse neighborhoods which correspond to the diversity of the population who live there. Compared to Lucerne where the cost of real estate is very high, Emmen is much more affordable and is located in the upper middle of Switzerland.
