Geography:

Däniken is located in the Lower Amt of the canton of Solothurn, between the capital of the canton of Aargau, Aarau, and the transport hub of Olten. The cities of Olten and Aarau are approximately 7 to 8 km from Däniken. With its surrounding hilly landscape, the attractive Aare riverbank and the nearby Jura mountains, it offers a wide and healthy recreational area. The municipality of Däniken covers 543 hectares, of which about one third is woodland. Neighboring municipalities are Niedergösgen, Obergösgen, Dulliken, Walterswil SO and Gretzenbach.
