Ittigen is well connected to the public transport network: S-Bahn and bus lines connect Ittigen and Worblaufen to the surrounding towns quickly and frequently. The journey to Bern (main station) takes a maximum of 15 minutes.

The S-Bahn line Bern-Worb serves the “Ittigen” and “Papiermühle” stops in Ittigen every 15 minutes – during peak hours in the morning and evening, even every 7 minutes in both directions. Bus lines connect the “Ittigen” (line 43) and “Papiermühle” (lines 40/41) stations to the northern part of the municipality (Kappelisacker). From the “Papiermühle” train station, there are two bus connections (lines 40/41) to Bern, with direct connection to Bernmobil. All S-Bahn lines pass through Worblaufen station. The connections to the surrounding towns and to Bern are very good. There is also a bus to the Bern North Quarter. On weekends, the Moonliner bus service operates in Ittigen and Worblaufen.
